Alexandra Smith is Reader in Russian in the School of Languages, Literatures and Culture at the University of Edinburgh. She has published extensively on many areas of nineteenth- and twentieth-century Russian literature and was recently awarded an ARHC grant for a project entitled ‘Reconfiguring the Canon of Twentieth-Century Russian Poetry, 1991–2008’.
